SaN JUAN ISLANDS AND PUGET SOUND, WASHINGTON (POSTDOCTORAL FIELDWORK, 2021-2022)
This fieldwork was conducted around the San Juan Islands, based at Friday Harbor Labs, and in areas throughout the Salish Sea. These sites are located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples.
Tatoosh Island, Washington (PhD Fieldwork, 2016-2019)
This fieldwork was conducted on Tatoosh Island, which belongs to the Makah Tribe, and I express my deepest gratitude for permission to conduct research on their land. While I was working there, I engaged with students in the Makah internships in biological research summer program (see this blog post about our trip to the island).
Coastal North Carolina & Florida Keys (MS Thesis Fieldwork, 2014-2016)
This fieldwork was conducted in coastal North Carolina, in collaboration with Dr. Patrick Erwin, as well as in the Florida Keys, working through the Aquarius Reef Base with Dr. Joe Pawlik.
